Rim Control Fly

Rim Control Fly
Flightless fruit fly control?

I got a jar of flightless fruit flies for my pet frogs Sunday. I'm sure the flies can't get out of the tank, but now a ton of them hatched and it's hard to just get a few out without them escaping. Any simple solutions? I have a small tank thing for feeder bugs, but it has holes too big in the lid, and the rest of the eggs and food are stuck in the jar. I would put the jar in the tank directly, but most of the bottom of the tank is water, with just two rocks that are small relative to the jar, and the flies don't realize that they can't walk on water until they try. Is there something I can put around the inner rim of the jar or something?
these frogs are really tiny. like smaller than most fingernails tiny.

Not much you can do. Maybe you could get some kind of rubber like from a cheap soda insulator that you could cut to fit around the jar so it could float in the tank and so your frogs could come up and eat off of it. If you make it big enough maybe the frogs could stand on it and pick them off comfortably. Any way you do it though sounds like many will drown- flies are dumb.
