Spooling Line On A Baitcaster Q?
I have already got some line on my reel. What happened earlier today, was I got horrible Backlash and had to take lots of my line off. But about 100-200 yards are still left. Can I just tie more line to the line already in the batecaster? But the difference is, the #test on the regular is 30, and the extra line I have is 20, will that matter?
So in a nutshell, Can I tie more line onto the line that is left on the reel, so I can get spolled?

If you don't get what I am wanting to do, then just say so, and I will add more details.
I hate backlashes, but they can be prevented, firstly ensure your brakes are set fully especially if your casting into the wind, also check that your brake blocks are all in place and the last thing to do is use a thicker oil on your bait caster this will slow the spool down if your starting to have problems if you have to use grease such as ardent reel butter or hot sauce. To answer your original question the answer is no, because not only will you have a bulky knot but you will have the problems when it comes to pass through the rod guides, just re spool it with some new quality line. A last point to consider is that you don't over fill the spool with line when you re spool it, leave a few millimeters between the rim of the spool and your line.
