It's almost become fashionable to bash Muslims. It's practically required to be considered a proper member of certain national political groups.
BTW, what exactly is "full Muslim garb"? I'm pretty sure he's referring to wearing robes and whatnot, but that's just equally ignorant.
The reason people think "Muslim garb" = "bath robe" is because the stereotypical Muslim to most Americans is someone who's from the Middle East. Lots of people in the Middle East dress like that and it has nothing to do with their religion!
I know many Muslims and they don't dress that way - even when they go to their local mosque. Why? Because they were born and grew up in the US. So they dress like it.
There is no country named "Muslim". That would be like saying there's a country named "Christian" - in fact there is, sort of, I mean what do you consider the Vatican? And if that's the case, then does that mean there really is such a thing as "full Catholic garb"? But that's mainly robes - just like the Muslims! ZOMGWTFBBQ! The Pope's a terrorist?!?
