Are my Administrator rights not working in Windows Vista?
Some people have told me I need to run some games/programs with a check in the "Run this program as Administrator" box (right-click -> Compatibility tab). But that box is "greyed" out when I try to check in it. This is a personal computer of mine so no one else but me would be the administrator, it even says so under the computer's name when I click on the little avatar at the top of start menu. The reason I'm trying to do this is because I keep getting Program/Game Compatibility Errors with Vista messages when I try to run some things. I've updated drivers, I've tried shutting off dual core processors, and running in compatibility mode with XP SP2, but nothing will let me run some of these games. One is even a pretty popular game called Never Winter Nights that I've read is very fixable for some people, but the solutions I've tried don't seem to work. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
