What poetic form is this?
Virtual Icarus

Our screens our sky, with no hint of horizon,
our limitless vision unclouded by awe,
we hack and soar, fearlessly flying,
facts at our fingertips, fathering more
information than we can hope to hold.
No waxen wing-joints prey to chance,
beneath our eyes labyrinths unfold,
unwind through firewalls, but no danger
accompanies our sedentary ascent to the sun,
where we measure heaven, chart the stars
with cool detachment, log the data
and break for coffee. Nothing bars
our endless quest for infotainment;
a double click from all desires.
Power is the child of knowledge,
but knowledge must be born from fire:
fire of passion that sends senses reeling,
preconceptions spiralling and sprawling;
not from the housebound, mousebound, unbroken,
unfeeling
virtual Icarus, forever falling, forever falling.
